Be A Witness
Be Ready
1 Peter 3:15
But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and always
be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope
that is in you, with meekness and fear;

The trick is to be ready and to be confident enough that we may pick and choose the right pieces to fit the situation.
Someone who comes to you as a spouse has suddenly left them does not want to hear about your happy marriage. But, they will be interested in your emotional battles and how you win them. Can you pick out those pieces of the story? Can you relate them to your relationship with Jesus? This is the goal.
Having said all of this, I want to point out how truly different our testimonies will be. Some were saved as children and remember little about their salvation experience. If they look at their life, they will find the wonderful blessings God has bestowed and can use this as a comparison of what could have been.
Some, like Debbie, were saved young, but walked away. Hers is a powerful testimony of Gods faithfulness and love. I was saved at the age of 46. Mine is a dramatic testimony of Gods ability to wipe away major life-long sin. God is good.
