Comments, Thoughts and Trivia

Your "Spouse"

Ezekiel 24:16
Son of man, behold, I take away from you the desire of your eyes with one stroke; yet you shall neither mourn nor weep, nor shall your tears run down.
NKJV

As an aside, who is the desire of your eyes? Who should be?

Marriage is a wonderful institution ordained by God. And his purpose was to give to men and women the desires of their eyes. Only, it does not always work the way the world might expect. Desire is based upon a lot of factors that are beneath the surface. As a result,

It is my opinion that every married Christian man should find his wife to be the "most beautiful woman in the world" and all of his desire should be directed toward her.

And, every married Christian woman should find her husband to be the "most handsome man in the world" and all of her passion should be placed upon him.

Unfortunately, not all marriages are this way. But this is the fashion God ordained. This is the way marriage should work. Does yours?
