But, in the pattern of the world lie many other examples. The thought pattern of the world is found in every facet of life. The philosophy of the world flows out of your radios and televisions. Both the shows and the commercials mimic worldly philosophy. Even our tel-evangelists fit the pattern. Many spend considerable amounts of time promoting fund raising and promoting their products. This is the thinking of the world. We must sell ourselves to make our ministry effective. But, surely, this is the way the world thinks. Don&t Christians accomplish their ministries by the power of the Holy Spirit?
Man is important. Man is made in the image of God. A Christian should look at all things with an eternal perspective. The Christian must look at all parts of the world from this viewpoint. Suffering, pain, death, failure, and success all acquire different meanings as we think beyond ourselves and consider all events as God would consider them. The Christian must learn to think spiritually, eternally, in truth, using the knowledge of God given to us. Revelation is real! We need to understand this and make great use of it. We need to adopt a solid Christian world view.
We need to become more like Christ every day.
